Adhesive industry mainly has water-based glue thickener, adhesive thickener; also often used in water-based ink, water-based paint, water-based ink and other processes on the thickening.                     Water-based thickener is a VOC-free acrylic copolymer high-rate thickener, which can quickly improve and adjust the viscosity after adding, and obtain stable, anti-sink and decompression thixotropic properties. It can improve the film-forming performance and increase the gloss fullness of the paint film. The addition amount of water-based thickener is generally 0.1%-1%, and the specific addition amount needs to be determined according to the actual situation and requirements. Most of the thickeners belong to hydrophilic polymer compounds, which are classified as animal, plant, mineral, synthetic or semi-synthetic according to their sources. Simple points can be divided into two categories of extraction and synthesis. Most of the extracted products are made from plants and algae containing polysaccharide viscous substances, such as starch, pectin, agar, gelatin, algal lipid, carrageenan, dextrin, yellow jelly gum, polysaccharide derivatives, etc. Synthetic products include methyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose and other cellulose derivatives, starch derivatives, casein, sodium polyacrylate, polyethylene oxide, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, low molecular polyethylene wax, polyacrylamide, etc.
