In polyvinyl chloride (PVC) processing, oxidized polyethylene wax is often used as an internal lubricant due to its compatibility with PVC resins and stabilizer systems. Standard polyethylene wax is more commonly used as an external lubricant to control friction between the polymer melt and processing equipment.

In masterbatch production, oxidized polyethylene wax typically improves the dispersibility of pigments and fillers, while polyethylene wax is usually chosen for its lubrication and flow-enhancing properties.

Both products can improve processing efficiency, but their optimal application depends on formulation requirements and performance objectives.

Choosing between polyethylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax requires consideration of resin compatibility, dispersion requirements, lubrication requirements, and end-product performance. Many manufacturers use both waxes in different formulations depending on the desired results.
