Polyethylene wax (PE wax), also known as polymer wax, is a kind of chemical material. It is white small beads or flakes. It is formed by ethylene polymerized rubber processing agent. It has a high melting point, high hardness and luster. High degree, white color and so on. It is widely used because of its excellent cold resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and wear resistance.

In normal production, this part of the wax can be directly added to the polyolefin processing as an additive, which can increase the gloss and processing performance of the product. As a lubricant, it has stable chemical properties and good electrical properties. Polyethylene wax has good compatibility with polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl acetate, ethylene-propylene rubber and butyl rubber. It can improve the fluidity of polyethylene, polypropylene and ABS and the release properties of polymethyl methacrylate and polycarbonate. Compared with PVC and other external lubricants, polyethylene wax has a stronger internal lubricating effect.

The main functions of polyethylene wax in solvent-based coatings are: matting, anti-scratch, anti-wear, anti-polishing, anti-marking, anti-blocking, anti-precipitation, thixotropy; good lubricity and processability; metal pigment positioning sex.

Main scope of application: It can be widely used in the manufacture of masterbatch, granulation, plastic steel, PVC pipe, hot melt adhesive, rubber, shoe polish, leather brightener, cable insulation, floor wax, plastic profiles, ink, injection molding and other products.

1. Due to its excellent external lubricating effect and strong internal lubricating effect, it has good compatibility with polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene and other resins, and can be used as a lubricant in extrusion, calendering and injection processing. agent. It can improve the processing efficiency, prevent and overcome the adhesion of films, pipes and sheets, improve the smoothness and gloss of the finished product, and improve the appearance of the finished product.

2. As a dispersant for concentrated color masterbatch of various thermoplastic resins, as well as a lubricant and dispersant for filler masterbatch and degradable masterbatch, it can improve the processing performance, surface gloss, lubricity and thermal stability of HDPE, PP and PVC.

3. Good light resistance and chemical properties, can be used as a carrier for pigments, can improve the abrasion resistance of paints and inks, improve the dispersibility of pigments and fillers, prevent pigments from sinking to the bottom, and can be used as a flattening agent for paints and inks.

4. It can be added to various paraffins to improve its performance, excellent electrical insulator performance, added to insulating oil, paraffin or microcrystalline paraffin to increase its softening temperature, viscosity and insulation performance, and can be used for cable insulation, capacitors and Moisture resistant coating for transformer windings.

The working principle of polyethylene wax is as follows: polyethylene wax dissolves in solvent at high temperature (about 100-140 ° C), and precipitates when cooled to room temperature, and exists in the coating in the form of microcrystals, because of its thixotropy. It is beneficial to the storage of the coating, and after the coating is applied, it can migrate to the surface layer of the coating film during the volatilization process of the solvent, and finally form a “waxed” surface layer with other components of the coating.
