Monobutyltin oxide is mainly used as a catalyst for the production of saturated polyester resin for powder coating, coil (steel) coating, insulating paint, etc., and a catalyst for the production of unsaturated polyester resin; used as a raw material for plastic stabilizer, organic tin intermediate, catalyst for esterification reaction, and catalyst for electrophoretic electrodeposition coating.












Silicone oil has a low surface tension, and it is easy to spread on solid surfaces where the critical surface tension is greater than it, and it can also be spread on liquid surfaces where the surface tension is greater than and does not dissolve it, so that it exhibits hydrophobicity or mold release on these surfaces.

Methyl silicone oil is not easily soluble in polar solvents, but it is soluble in non-polar organic solvents. Its solubility decreases as the viscosity of silicone oil increases. Table 16-15 lists the solubility of simethicone in different solvents.
The solubility of methyl phenyl silicone oil or silicone oil with high alkyl substituents in organic solvents is greater than that of dimethyl silicone oil with similar viscosity. The higher the phenyl content, the better the solubility. Therefore, methyl silicone oil can be introduced by phenyl or long-chain alkyl paraffin emulsion hs code groups to improve the compatibility of silicone oil additives with coatings and other performance properties.
