Clay has the characteristics of unique adhesiveness and water-swelling plasticity, and is often used as a binder for ceramic products. However, due to the high content of impurities in natural clay, the impurities remain in the glass phase after high temperature sintering, which will reduce the strength and pressure resistance of ceramic products. The ideal binder should be beneficial to increase the powder loading, so that the feed has high strength and elastic modulus at room temperature, and good fluidity at mixing and injection temperatures.

With the continuous improvement of the quality requirements of ceramic products, organic polymer binders such as water-based wax emulsions are gradually used in ceramic production. Because emulsified wax has the characteristics of non-toxicity, non-volatile, good dispersibility, uniform film laying, good lubricity, good fluidity and permeability, adhesion, and no metal impurities, the application of emulsified wax in the ceramic production process, It can not only improve the fluidity of the powder and the mold release of the injection, but also improve the compactness of the injection and the strength of the green body. Paraffin wax has low molecular weight, low viscosity, good wettability with powder, and no chemical reaction with each other, simple degreasing process, very little residue after degreasing, and no environmental pollution.
