All kinds of emulsion paints, water-based paints, polymer emulsions, pigment pastes, printing inks in the coating industry.
Maleic anhydride resin varnish often loses dryness after storage, due to the formation of insoluble matter between the drier and free maleic acid.
Free phthalic anhydride and lead drier in alkyd resin are easy to form insoluble salt and precipitate. Higher temperature and the presence of water can accelerate the reaction, make the varnish muddy and lose its dryness. Adding 0.1% to 0.25% calcium bond acid can significantly reduce the precipitation tendency. Substituting naphthoic acid for lead tea acid has no muddy phenomenon, but the color is darker.
Influence of other components: The organic acid in the drier is linoleic acid, rosin acid or oleic acid, which has poor stability and is easy to oxidize and precipitate during storage, and loses the drying performance. Solvents such as dipentene have anti-skinning effects, but too much use can delay the drying of oil-based paints. hard ft Phenolic anti-skinning agent can prevent the oxidized surface of the paint from being easily skinned, but it can significantly prolong the drying time of the paint film. Oxime anti-skinning agents have less effect on dryness.
Addition order of driers Various driers are directly added to the paint in a solution with a certain metal content, but the order of addition has an impact on the dryness of the paint.
Alkyd enamel is formulated with anatase titanium dioxide. After two years of storage, the dryness varies with the order of adding the drier.
Adding calcium drier can significantly improve the dryness, and the order of addition in the table ③ is better.
