What is the role of polyamide wax dispersion?

Polyamide wax dispersion is a common type of wax dispersions.

Polyamide wax dispersion is a fatty acid amide wax pre-swollen into xylene to produce a paste-like thixotropic agent, which can be used in a wide range of media such as low and medium polarity. It also has a very strong swelling structure and good heat resistance and time stability. Since it is a fully expanded paste, it can be easily dispersed at room temperature by stirring and dispersing, and it has excellent anti-sink and anti-sag functions. Therefore, it can play an excellent role in preventing sinkage and improving orientation of aluminum and pearl mica in motor vehicle coatings.

1, It has strong and continuous anti-sagging and anti-settling properties;
2, It does not precipitate or rarely precipitates, and has little effect on gloss and weatherability;
3, It can be optimally dispersed in various ways of use;
4, It does not require precise control of temperature and pre-made gels;
5, It improves the coordination of metallic pigments in wet films, i.e., it has an orientation function;
6, It has good compatibility with various solvents and resins.

It can be used in almost all solvent-based synthetic resin coatings, especially automotive paint and automotive refinish, such as: epoxy resin, epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, chlorinated rubber, vinyl resin, unsaturated polyester resin, acrylic resin and baking paint, etc., systems such as acrylic/melamine coatings for automotive top coating, etc. It can also be used in UV curing systems.
