2 Reasons for residual glue in Teflon tape

It will be found that there are tiny residues through hand feel or close observation. This tiny residue has a great impact on production. This phenomenon may be that the high temperature resistance data of the tape does not meet the production requirements. The high temperature resistance required is usually 210-260 degrees, so it should be confirmed before production whether it meets the production requirements.

If the temperature of the production line is too high, and it is not within the scope of the process requirements, there will also be residual glue, and you should check whether the temperature sensor is normal; the Teflon high temperature tape product itself has quality problems. 3 How to use Teflon tape more reasonably

1. Use Teflon tape with yellow release paper, so that it can be stored for a long time without changing its viscosity.
2. Do not use sharp metal tools to rub the surface of the tape, and regularly wipe the surface of the tape with a damp cloth.
3. Do not pour acid, alkali and organic chemical solvents on the surface of the tape to ensure the drying and cleaning of the surface of the tape.
4. Try to purchase cost-effective tapes. You cannot blindly pursue cheap prices and ignore the quality of tapes.
5. The temperature and tensile strength used should be within the reasonable range of Teflon tape, not all environments, processes, and equipment can be used.

4 Application of Teflon Tape in Coil Processing

1. Edge guide belt

The melted liquid PE is coated (laminated) on the surface of cardboard or other materials (such as film, aluminum foil, etc.). In this coating process, because the liquid high-temperature PE at the edge will contaminate or burn the roller at high temperature, a closed belt made of adhesive tape is needed to make a closed belt at the corresponding positions of the inner and outer edges of the cardboard.
