UV temperature change ink

The traditional screen printing temperature change ink is divided into two types: oil-based and water-based temperature change ink. The water-based temperature-change ink is environmentally friendly and has no odor, but the performance of the temperature-change material in the water-based system is not as good as that of the oil-based system. Most customers still prefer to choose oil-based temperature-change inks. However, oil-based temperature-change ink has a strong smell and is not environmentally friendly enough, which is a headache for everyone. In the confined space of the factory, workers will experience dizziness and headaches when printing ink, resulting in no workers willing to print such oily inks. Now, the problem is solved. The oil-based thermochromic ink of ordinary silk screen printing can be completely replaced by the more environmentally friendly UV-curable thermochromic ink.

UV temperature change ink is currently considered to be environmentally friendly, green and sustainable ink among temperature change inks. It has many advantages and is often used in label printing fields such as packaging and paper. Today, I will share with you the relevant content of printing UV temperature change ink for your reference, such as ptfe dispersion solution business & industrial.

Ultraviolet light (Ultra Violet), referred to as UV, refers to light with a wavelength of 200~400nm, which is lower than visible light. The curing of UV curing temperature change ink is essentially a photochemical reaction process based on photochemical theory. That is, the photoinitiator in the temperature-change ink absorbs a specific wavelength of ultraviolet light (usually 200-400nm), and forms this light into an active group that participates in chemical reactions. They will cause the polymerized prepolymer and the diluted monomer to undergo charge transfer to form a complex, cross-linking and polymerizing in a very short time, forming a polymer with a three-dimensional network structure, so that the printed product can be fixed with a certain hardness , adhesion, wear resistance.

The emergence of temperature-changing UV inks not only contributes to the environmental protection of inks, but also speeds up the printing speed of inks. The traditional ordinary screen printing ink needs to be dried naturally, so the printed product has to be placed on the screen frame to wait for drying, which not only takes up space, but also affects the printing speed. After switching to UV ink, because the UV lamp can cure the ink in an instant, there is no need to dry it naturally, which greatly reduces the printing cost.
